The Rampage Mas Band has been confirmed as the latest attraction for next month’s Newbury Carnival, with the popular performers set to join in with the main parade.
The 45-strong group of adult and child dancers, who celebrate their 30th anniversary this year, will return to bring a West Indian flavour to proceedings.
Ruth Walker, project manager for Newbury Carnival 2017, said: “We are delighted Rampage have chosen to join us again this year.
“They bring an exciting and dynamic mix of costumes and music typical of the ‘big’ carnivals like Rio and Notting Hill. They promise to be a brilliant spectacle.”
This year’s carnival parade takes place through Newbury town centre from 2pm on Sunday, July 16, with more than 40 entries already signed up.
The carnival fete will also be running throughout the day in Victoria Park.
