For the second weekend in a row the weather decimated the cricket fixtures, with Falkland and Thatcham Town’s matches both being abandoned.
Falkland had been playing Gerrards Cross and did at least see some play, as they reached 83-3 before the rain fell in the 27th over.
Openers James Bird (30) and David Bloor (33) produced a good stand before both were eliminated in quick succession, followed almost immediately by Will Langmead for a duck.
It saw Falkland go from 64-0 to 64-3, but ultimately it didn’t matter as both teams were awarded seven points for their efforts.
It was a similar story for Thatcham, as they reached 83-5 from 25 overs played in their game with Yateley.
Jack Andrews hit a not out 42 while Peter Spriggs scored 17, although there was a masterclass from Yateley bowler Anthony Muir as he took all five wickets.
Like Falkland, Thatcham also ended up sharing seven points with their opponents.
Falkland remain sixth in the Thames Valley Cricket League division one standings, while Thatcham are seventh in Division 2B.
In Division 3A, Newbury didn’t have a game scheduled this weekend, and are still bottom of the pile some 26 points behind Chiswick and Whitton.
