Thatcham Town’s league season came to an end on Saturday in slightly disappointing fashion, as they shared the points away at Brackley Town Saints.
The match ended 1-1, after the hosts scored a late equaliser.
The Kingfishers had gone ahead through an own goal early in the second half in what was a quiet end to their season after having not played for three weeks.
It means that Thatcham end up fourth in the Hellenic Premier League on 68 points, five behind Flackwell Heath in third and four ahead of fifth-placed Ardley United.
The result marks Thatcham’s second top four finish in the last two seasons, although another year in the Hellenic beckons as a result.
Thame United were crowned champions of the league earlier this month, ending three points clear of Bracknell Town.
