Hundreds gathered in Victoria Park on Monday to cheer on the competitors in this year’s Crafty Craft Race.
Dozens of homemade boats took to the River Kennet to see if their craft would survive the five-mile stretch from Kintbury to Newbury.
Boats started off from Dreweatt’s Lock in Kintbury and slowly made their way along the Kennet and Avon Canal, arriving throughout the day at Victoria Park.
This year’s theme was ‘uniforms all the way’, with boaters dressed up as soldiers, doctors, and royal guards. Bearskin hats were among the spectacular outfits on display.
There was also plenty of entertainment in Victoria Park with funfair rides, stalls and live music.
