A 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving following a single vehicle collision on the M4 near Newbury.
At around 10pm on Saturday, July 22 a silver Ford Fiesta was travelling eastbound approaching junction 13 for Chieveley when it careered across the carriageway and struck a barrier.
The car came to a rest facing the opposite direction in the inside lane.
A man and a woman inside the car both sustained injuries. The women did not require hospital treatment, but the man was taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading and has since been discharged.
A 26-year-old man, from Bournemouth, was arrested the following day on suspicion of driving a motor vehicle dangerously and on suspicion of driving while unfit through drink.
He has been released under investigation.
