A man in his 40s was taken to hospital after being punched in the face as he walked along a Newbury street.
The victim suffered a suspected broken jaw in the incident in Bartholomew Street, on Thursday, March 16, at 2.45pm.
He was approached by a group of unknown males and one punched him in the face.
There is no description of the men.
Sgt Robert Carberry from Newbury Police Station said: “The victim of this assault is now having to receive specialist treatment on his jaw due to the injuries sustained.
“We are urging anyone who witnessed it to please come forward.”
