A group of performers paid a visit to a Woolhampton school earlier this week as part of their World Book Day celebrations.
Hobgoblin Theatre Company staged ‘The Unusual Adventures of Robin Hood’ on Tuesday to children at Elstree School.
Eleven-year-old William Lowrie said: “It was really cool how they performed it with a cast of just three people, they changed their costumes really fast.”
Ten-year-old Luca Hargreave added: “It was very well acted and they made us laugh a lot.”
It came as a number of book-related activities were held at the school throughout the week, such as a poetry workshop, a close look at comic strip writing and a doodling competition.
School librarian Ruth Walker said: “It was a great performance with all the classic characters in a new comic adventure.
“It was an innovative and fabulous way to look at reworking stories, we had such fun.”
