Molly Jones took home the top honour of the Champions Cup at a recent awards ceremony held for Team Kennet Athletics Club’s junior cross country runners.
Molly was presented with the award for her strong performances throughout the season, which included winning the under-13 girls’ club championship.
The best sportshall athlete of the year went to Harry Booker, Aimee Dickson and Oliver Humphries, while Anna Pettit and Stuart Bladon won the indoor track and field awards.
Twenty athletes aged nine to 13 were given the Team Kennet special stars for competing in the Oxford Cross Country matches this season.
Elsewhere, Team Kennet athletes picked up a total of 14 medals at the Basingstoke Open meeting at the weekend.
They won five golds, including from Ben East, who broke the club record in the javelin with a throw of 48.83m, Harry Booker and Oliver Ford in the shot, Oliver Gregory in the hammer and Anna Pettit in the 1,500m.
