Thatcham Town suffered their third defeat in a row in all competitions after they were beaten 2-0 at home to title-chasing Thame United on Saturday.
For the second game in a row and just the third time all season in the Hellenic Premier League, the Kingfishers failed to score as they were beaten by their Oxfordshire rivals.
Mark West opened the scoring for Thame in the 25th minute, and Mark Goss’s penalty in the 81st minute sealed the win.
Thatcham remain fifth in the table despite the defeat with 51 points, nine behind current leaders Flackwell Heath on 60.
However Bracknell Town and Thame are both on 59 in second and third respectively, and have up to three games in hand over the leaders, and over Thatcham.
With no game this Saturday, Thatcham will be hoping to turn their form around when they next play at home to Brimscombe & Thrupp next Tuesday evening.
