Businesses across West Berkshire have been learning how to lower their energy bills .
A free workshop run by The Carbon Trust and West Berkshire Council encouraged small and medium-sized firms to cut the amount of energy they use.
Thirteen businesses took part, and were given advice on how to implement energy-saving measures in the workplace.
Janet Duffield, the council’s economic development officer, said: “Small companies play a big role in our local economy and we work hard to support them and to provide useful workshops such as this.
“It was a productive morning and the businesses left enthusiastic about changes they can make themselves and for the clients they work with.”
Businesses were also told about The Carbon Trust’s small business fund, where up to £10,000 is offered towards purchasing energy saving equipment.
